「Wir haben uns hier herzlich Willkommen und unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Die Auffahrt zur Unterkunft war wie erwartet sehr abenteuerlich, aber mit unserem Citröen C3 (kein SUV) machbar. Die Lodge war sehr modern und schön eingerichtet. Sie ist großzügig geschnitten und die Aussicht auf die Zuurberg Mountains ist einfach unglaublich. Am 1. 「Smallish lodge with informative game drives. Staff really nice a friendly. Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a couple of Hippo's hanging out the front. Food good without being over the top. Given the weather, didnt get to make much use of the outdoor area, but would be nice in summer. My only gripe is when I neede to cancel and rebook, it took almost 2 months and the commencement of credit card chargeback to get my refund (which was not disputed). 」

「What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. The guides are extremely knowledgable and welcome all questions and make you feel very comfortable and at ease during the game drives. For anybody wanting a unique safari experience with game animals...

「Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von der Lodge. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW eigentlich unzumutbar und bei vorherigem Regen nicht machbar! Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr schön, aber das war’s dann auch schon! Die Unterkünfte sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen einer Modernisierung. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber nicht sehr geschult und wirkt teilweise unbeholfen. Das Abendessen (in Buffetform !) war wohlwollend betrachtet bestenfalls durchschnittlich, das Frühstück...

「Amazing lodge to explore the Shamwari Game Reserve. While it was quite a ride to reach the lodge, every bump on the gravel road was totally worth it. Staff: all staff members were very welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay so perfect and pleasant. 「We stayed at Hillsnek with friends and had the best time. Beautiful place to stay, on arrival we were welcomed with an elephant drinking at the pool which was amazing! The tent was fabulous, very comfortable bed and a bath with a view! Used the outdoor shower too which was wonderful! Would have loved a day just to enjoy our surroundings but we were here for safari and it didn’t disappoint, 6 game drives over our 3 nights and they all exceeded any expectations we had. 「This property is located right on the Sundays River. I believe they also have canoe rentals. Great location, we could safely walk to dinner at Grunters, good food. The hosts were lovely and had lots of knowledge of the area. We went Sandboarding on the Alexandria Dunes - great fun. The shower was huge and beautifully tiled, but it had no privacy! Not a big deal, just good to know :)」
