“This cabin is tiny, but cozy. Everything we needed was there. We stayed here to be close to SIU for our granddaughter’s graduation. The drive to the school was easy. The setting on the lake was very pretty & peaceful. We were pleased to find we could bring our pup. He enjoyed his walks on the quiet road. The hosts are so very friendly & quick to answer all questions.”

“The cabin was great. It was clean, comfortable, and worked great for our needs. The drop down ladder/stairs to the loft were not an issue for our group. The kitchen had just what we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We basically only slept there because we explored all day. We did bbq and have a fire at night.”

“We had an absolutely fabulous stay. This is was the perfect cabin for an adult couple and three boys (15, 14, 9). The cabin itself is super cute. Living area, eat-in kitchen, master suite, second bedroom with bunk beds, and downstairs hangout area. The spiral staircase was a bit uncomfortable for me, so I chose to use the outdoor stairs. The owners really make sure that the cabin has everything needed to make your stay comfortable. The youngest was thrilled to find nightlight. The kitchen is……

“We loved our stay at the Jaybird Treehouse! It was well maintained, clean, and super cute. The shower was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and our teenager and their friend loved the trap door and "bunker" under the rest of the treehouse. The ice cream maker was such a nice touch! A couple things that I feel I should note... 1) the walk down to the lake is fairly steep, and is a boardwalk rather than stairs. For us it was ok, but if we had my elderly mother with us, she would not have……

“Tom was a most gracious host! He provided great information on the area and activities and went out of his way to ensure all our needs were met. His property is a perfect weekend retreat, with little touches, that made it extra special. The people in the area were very welcoming, too! Check out the donation-based full buffet breakfast on Sat mornings from 8:30-10 AM at Eagle Point Lodge, just around the corner. Friendly folks, and a great way to start your day exploring all the state parks!……
