"This was amazing onsen beside the Yubatake (which is right in front on the hotel) so you are in the middle of the town they have Yukata you can borrow and take wear to walk and take pictures outside too. "I was surprised to see a Ryokan listed. This type of “ hotel” usually charges by the person not the room and it’s expensive. I was so excited to get such a great deal but turns out it was not. The price seemed low at first for a room including breakfast but they hid the cost of the breakfast in the service charge, and extra fees. And then they tried to charge us again for the entire stay. We waited ten minutes for them to figure out we already paid. And finally they said we owed another $ 25...

"This property has seen better days. My single room was like a prison cell, just 1.5 meters wide. There was no view. The food was of very low quality but beer and sake were all you can drink for 70 minutes. There are no room amenities. You have to pick them up in the lobby, even the yukata. The outdoor and regular baths are on different floors which is very strange. The clientele is mostly retirees and they seemed happy enough."

"It is a very lovely, quiet deluxe hotel set back from the street. The service was impeccable, with free shuttles at call to and from the hotel. Remember to book in advance if you are arriving from the train station as this will save you the taxi fare! The rooms are large and the public bath is a treat.
