"Close driving proximity to everything Monterey & Carmel. Not walking distance, but if you have a car you’ll be about a 8-10 min drive to all main attractions. This hotel is new and modern, rooms and bathrooms are nice and large. Only concern is the rooms don’t have too much lighting and parking availability can be scarce if you’re arriving late in the night. "We came down to do some diving in Monterrey. Mariposa was close to everything, quiet, and room was comfortable."

"I think that the staff was courteous and ver pleasantly attentive. Ther were 2 issues at the restaurant with items appearing on our bill or someone elses bill. Everything is in walking distances and the spa is excellent. Kudos to cj and Anthony our masseuse. Overall 4.5 stars. "

"It was the third day of a long family trip. At check in in the evening the hotel staff was friendly, polite, quick and very helpful. So it made all the difference in settling in quickly to start relaxing."

"Overall, I was happy. Location was exactly what I was looking for. A few small disappointments: Valet parking that was mandatory and expensive. If I’d known ahead of time, maybe. But it’s not listed on the website. The guys who ran the valet were super cool and in-&-out were fine. I just didn’t know about it beforehand. "We did not get any service for our room. We requested clean towels and it took over a hour to get them. The TV didn’t work the last night. We got sound, but no picture. The curtain in the room was torn. It was a nice place and I will return, but details do matter. "

"Hotel is in a good location near the Wharf. Ample parking lot with a clean pool and spa. Rooms are fine, CLEAN and neat. Shower was hot and clean! Lounge area has a bar and serves food (we did not eat dinner just had drinks. Free breakfast was included that is a great perk and it was clean and tidy self serving food. Lots of options eggs, oatmeal, bagels and everything in between. Everyone we encountered was NICE and pleasant to talk to. Local area has restaurants with in walking...
