「Large spread out property some of which appears to be undergoing renovations 」

「This is an older property and the rooms reflect this. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was fine for us as we spent most of our time with family. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. We were in the end room and the Wi-Fi was weak there. He offered us another room but we chose to stay put. We could easily walk to the gazebo or just a bit toward the office to use Wi-Fi. It worked fine for us but it’s certainly not the Ritz. 」

「What an amazing relic of our California state's history! So beautifully kept & decorated. This is a magical place where you will feel you time traveled to the Gold Rush Era. Especially to families who want to teach their childeren 1st hand about history or even those who want to host a unique setting for a wedding, etc. The staff couldn't be nicer & the town couldn't be more relaxing! 「We had a great check in super easy . We loved the space and the two rooms. They had a small kitchenette which was super helpful throughout our stay. We were able to have a refrigerator that we were able to keep some food and some drinks and there was a microwave. The only thing was the carpet right into the transfer to the kitchen I could feel some nails. I let them know of the problem. They were very helpful with any questions or concerns. 」

「The door was not locked when we arrived. There was no instruction how to lock the door when you go for a walk. It would have been better if the cabin was not so close to the main drag. 」

「We stayed in 'The Cabin '. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The cabin had a small yard and patio that was great for having some wine and cheese. The kitchen it was stocked with some basic utensils and the 2 burner stove worked great to cook a little breakfast. Great location because it's only a 7 minute drive to either Nevada City Fairgrounds or downtown Grass Valley city. However downtown Nevada City is within walking distance of the motel.
