"Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The room was warm, clean and cosy, comfy bed, bath towels a bit small, had a room with mountain view of Dow Crag & Coniston all be it a little restricted, the food was very good in the evening & the breakfast had a great choice and very tasty, staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a very peacful place to stay quiet at night no noise from other rooms will defo stay again it has been one of our better choices"

Quick overnight stay in a bit luxury
"There was a mix up with the room which I had booked through Hotels.com but I was soon sorted with the one I had booked( at a cost)The following morning it had been sorted and upgrade cost refunded.Staff and room very good.Will definitely be back hopefully later in the year."
