He reminded us that stores are closed and offered to buy groceries for us when we were emailing him from London (The host answers almost within the minute which is very helpful when you're having problems with an airline). "Great studio with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Amazing view to while away your time with a book and booze. My favourite area of the Quinta was the relaxing large shared seating area great for whatever the weather. Lovely gardens and pool. Will be staying again. Visit to the local bakery Mariazinha is a must."

"Immaculately kept residence in a very good area with excellent transport links into Funchal centre. Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and have great views. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the waiting staff were helpful and pleasant and the main pool and pool areas were spacious with plenty of sun beds available. Very enjoyable stay and we would love to return one day in the near future."

"Stayed here last week and had a nice time… the property definitely could be cleaner. We arrived to food smeared on the cupboards, no top sheets, dirty couch and pillows. The location is great however, and there is easy street parking that is free. The deck and view are amazing. Overall our stay was pleasant but if you’re looking for a super clean and polished property, this is not it. Also had to coordinate with the owners brother to get the key which I found a little strange."
