"Other reviews had some negative remarks about it being noisy, old and such, therefore I had some reservations prior to our arrival, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is an older building and with this comes thin walls, outdated fixtures and other bits but overall it was a comfortable stay. The building had a wonderful charm and had a pub on one side that became lively in the evening and yes, cause some noise but being from the city, nothing that would cause me not to be able...

"Excellent service. They went beyond the call of duty when I asked for ice for an event my daughter was helping organise at the cinema just 100 yards or so away. The answer was would a bin liner full be enough! Fantastic food and A class breakfast. Only downside is no black pudding!"

"We found the staff welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable with everything one would need for a short stay. The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. "We booked for an overnight stay at a wedding. Room was beautiful, attached to a lovely pub, and the breakfast was superb as well. The best part of the stay, however, was the lovely staff! Friendly and helpful - they delayed breakfast for half an hour because my husband was stuck in traffic. Thank you for a fantastic stay"

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
