"Had dinner and breakfast along with the private bath room. The food was excellent each time and plentiful (dinner was a little on the large side so if you stay, I might recommend skipping lunch). The staff was friendly throughout the stay and greeted us at the entrance when coming in for check in and after out outing. Location is close to the bus station from Beppu station and just one street away from Beppu Jigoku (Hell) which makes for convenience when coming by public transportation....

"Nice Japanese boutique hotel within walking distance to town. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

"Hotel is clean with beautiful landscape. Reception staff was patience despite the language barrier. They managed to help our friends change to a non smoking floor as the floor they were originally assigned smell of smoke from guests smoking from ground floor. The buffet dinner was great, with free flow of beer, soju and wine. Desserts was excellent. Onsen was great too though the bath house looks a bit run down. But it was clean. "Very clean and very comfortable. They are very vague about you putting everything back. Does it mean you have to wash all of your dishes and put them back exactly? Communication was lacking. "The hotel itself is in a great location with amazing services and teams. The room we stayed in was nice and big and was restocked when needed. I definitely like that we need to take our shoes off at the entrance and the entire hotel is covered in tatami mats! My only issue is that this hotel is used by a lot of foreign tour groups who may not be the most polite people. We had lots of people push in queues for food or drinks, not clean properly before getting in the onsen, etc. so beware of...

"Everything was poor. For Japanese standar I felt like staff was tired or not happy doing their job. Checking time was 4 P.M. while in other hotels was 3 P.M. I arrived at 3:10 and they did not let me in. A lady was going to give the key but a young man told her that was not the time for checking in. I saw other people registering before 4 and letting them in, so I felt disappointed. The room was very small."
