"Establishment is the perfect mix of hostel life and people who want their own private rooms, although the private rooms are very small. Pool is wonderful (and open until 10!), and the bar and food are great! Location, location, location. Very close to the beach and Bangla Rd. People from all over stay here. To watch the pool area, you feel like you are watching Club MTV, that American TV show from the 80s where it is always Spring Break. Yet the music is never too loud and the room is pretty...

"The location is perfect. Unfortunately the pool closes at 7pm, way too early. If I knew I may not have stayed there. Otherwise everything else was wonderful. "

"Always an excellent stay at the Grand Mercure. An oasis in the heart of Patong. Endless food and entertainment only steps away. Outstanding dinner buffets almost every other night, a must-try. Staff absolutely too-notch, helpful and kind. Excellent pool, and swim-up rooms available. Lots of on-site activities, family friendly, shops and a little bar too! Highly recommend hotel. "

"The hotel is centrally located near everything. The room service, house keeping, security and desk service incredible. The food!!! Wow!!! Unfortunately my tours left early so we only had 2 breakfast meals. We looked forward to those meals. Room service meals were excellent too! "
