“I brought my 18yo daughter to Washington’s Olympic peninsula and San Juan Islands as an adventure getaway from the LA area for her highschool graduation. Staying at this Chalet was HER highlight on the Peninsula! Lush rainforest feeling surrounds the chalet. The owner’s daughter was in the driveway when we drove up, who explained how to adventure down through the forest to the river, and how to go for a run down the road into the national forest entry point for a carpeted AMAZING trailrun!! The owners were GREAT infact he reached to me if I am still interested bebecause I forgot to pay lol. They were lovely we booked this place because all halls were close and i couldnt find a place for my son's first birthday so we did it here and i told them and they were okay with. Basically what I am saying they are very considerate qnd understanding people. The house! I swear……

“Our stay at the Rock House was full of relaxation and taking in the beauty of the architecture, details, and exploring the area. Walking distance to so many nice stops in metaline falls, including the cutter theater. The theater building houses a library that was a great place to bring our children and learn more about the first owner of the home.”

“Had a wonderful time. It was the perfect place to be together, we wanted to try the slopes or snow at Mt.Baker one last time. All of us where able to enjoy the mountain or just hang out at the Chalet. Very relaxing and comfortable for all of us.”

“We wanted some relaxing lake time with the family and that’s what we got!! Kayaking on the lake and relaxing on the back porch. Be aware fishing on the lake is closed from October to the end of April. We did not know there are lakes in this county that have this rule.”

“Suspended above a rushing river on a quiet private road, we thoroughly enjoyed having our own private paradise. The house is beautiful, roomy and so well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed cozying up to the outdoor fireplace every night after days spent hiking and exploring in this beautiful area. “It is a cute, charming, comfortable place, with several features that make it truly special. It just looks cool, first of all, from the outside and inside, with interesting nooks and crannies, a small place but efficient and plenty big enough for the four of us. “Chalet #9 is a humble home with a direct path to beach (7 minute walk) and just a few blocks away from Sharky’s. The kitchen is small and there is no dishwasher, I share that in case you have a big intention to cook a lot, be prepared to hand wash (no problem for us). This is more built for 2 people, anymore would feel overwhelming. 1 parking spot right outside the door. The text updates were great with door codes for check in as well as the check out process. Emails as well. It worked perfect……

“I believe this is our 5th year going to the Mtn House. We Love it!! the kids sled all day along with adults into the evening. Family games and meals around the big Table. Outstanding Views on the front covered porch of the Mtns. A big roaring fire in the fireplace to cozy up to in the mornings and after sledding. Games for the kids downstairs . And the Best Part no TV or wifi to distract. Thank You Mark and Caroline and Jessica for the wonderful time!!”

“Perfect place for a multi-generational gathering. Location is great, variety of sleeping and gathering spaces work well for different ages & needs, and the pool & yard are fantastic! — we also loved the cozy bedding and throw blankets for chilly evenings.”

“We enjoyed our weekend and first trip to Ocean Shores. On the map it looks like this is an oceanfront property but it is not and that was disappointing. A couple of extra space heaters will also help in the winter months”
