“When me and my companion arrived Ohara bus station, we informed the minshuku and the staff arrived quickly and picked us up. He was very nice and explained to us what we could do around the small town. “If you want to experience traditional ryokan with fabulous meals, this is the place for you. It is a bit dated like visiting your relative’s house in the small town. It’s surrounded by maple forest, like living in a nice cabin. This is not modern hotel, if you set your expectation right, you will not be disappointed. All the stuffs are so kind and warm. They are great people dedicated to their jobs and it makes me want to visit Kyoto again.”

“Excellent Lake Biwa view on 9/F. The room in 9/F is new decorated and contains modern facilities with Japanese classic style. The private hotspring is good. The Japanese breakfast included is also good. The bath room should have curtain for guest who is shy. The location is very peacful but no convenient store or any facilities nearby. Need to drive car by 3 minutes to the nearest convenient store.”
