“I stayed here in 2025 and I must say that I saw a huge improvement across the board at Hostel 165. It seems like some renovations may have been done. The staff were quite attentive and regularly cleaned the bathrooms, restocking toilet paper etc. There’s no longer a stove in the kitchen so there’s a lot less activity in a small area. The fridges are still overflowing and need to be cleaned down. Overall, I do recommend that Hostel 165 is a good option when staying in this area of Madrid.”

“close to Atocha station and very convenient to go to airport or countryside. many restaurants and tapas bar right next door. Staff are very nice, room is small but clean & neat.”

“Good location But staff very unhelpful, no place for luggage storage Toilets were clean on the first night but not the second night, room with heavy smell Water supply was stopped on the first night due to a scheduled maintenance but they didn’t prepare anything for that”

“Todo bien”

“The property was great, and the staff was good to work with and helpful. The room did not have any closet or drawer space, so we had to live out of our suitcases. Otherwise, it was nice and in a good central location.”

“Near the station & spots Staff are nice make me have an amazing memory in Madrid ”

“One off the worst places I ever stay cleaning lady racists and it’s no front desk I’ll definitely never ever stay again there”

“Room for 8 was booked and guests of both sexes would be arranged in the same room. No dorm bed curtains is fixed which other hostels I accommodated had it.”

“The building is confusing until you learn which elevator takes you where. The room was clean but had a stale coffee odor coming from the heater, I turned the heater off and the smell went away. The hallways were neatly decorated. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors walking around and children running and playing. There is no early check-in which is a bummer because my flights to Madrid land early in the morning and being able to just get to the hotel for a nap would be great.……

“The location is excellent. But the price is a bit high in terms of the size. The room is a dim in general. The overhead exhaust fan dripped in the midnight and hardly fall asleep ”

“Good good good good good!”
