"This hotel has a good seafood buffet breakfast as well as a free sight seeing bus. If you’d like to go the night viewing of Mt. Hakodate on the free bus, you need to reserve for the weekends, well in advance. We went for the sunset viewing only on the free bus. Very friendly and staff. The coin laundry was easy to use and cashless. There is also a very convenient grocery store behind the hotel and a few minutes from the Hakodate train station. "

"If you're visiting Hakodate, then odds are you have stayed at some APA hotel at some point in your life. You stay at APA because it's affordable and well kept up, which holds true here as well. I've stayed in a handful of APA locations, and this location has the best customer service I've experienced at any APA. As for the building, it's probably older, but you wouldn't know because both the room and hallway are in great condition. They clearly have renovated or replaced over the years."

"Great hotel located very conveniently near the port, as well as Motomachi and Mount Hakodate area! Only 15-20 min to downtown core for the morning market as well. The hotel also rents bikes for 1200 yen for a full day so we biked around the city and we highly recommend it! Would recommend staying here!"

"The staff provided the 'Superb' service. I stayed at the annex building which was a bit dated but totally clean for 4 weeks. I had access to sauna, washing machine, dryer, kitchen sink, microwave, ice machine & Free breakfast. It took me 11 minutes to walk to Goryōkaku where I could enjoy viewing the cherry blossom & I loved it. I highly recommend this hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Hakodate again during cherry blossom season, I will not hesitate to book this hotel again. "

"I was so pleasantly surprised by what was offered. I booked an overnight stay on my way to Sapporo. I had no experience with this chain and expected an average service/facility. For one night, I didn't mind. However, the staff were organised and welcoming. Unlike similar hotel chains, they had four lifts to take guests up and down. Everywhere was super clean. More importantly, the room was spacious and very comfortable. All facilities were new, and every item in the room was organised logically to make it easy to use. Overall, a very positive experience."

"The front desk staff were extremely gracious & hospitable throughout our entire stay! They all spoke English very well. Rooms were clean, a/c worked very well, loved the area… felt safe, close to train stations, bus stops, street car stops, shopping mall, convenience stores, restaurants & sightseeing areas were a few minutes away. Will definitely stay here again! "
