"Loved the direct ocean front room! Beautiful views and you see the sunrise and sunset in your room(winter time). Friendly staff. Enjoyed breakfast fully. Restaurant opens relatively late by US standard but we enjoyed the sandwiches even just from the bar."

"Overall, we were disappointed with the condition of the accommodation. The building is not very well built (more like a shed) and quite dated. The floors are not level, some of the windows don't close properly and there was even a problem with the flushing of the toilets. When we got there, the property was not very well cleaned (e.g. bread crumbs on countertop, dried pasta on the colander and what seemed like blood stains on our bedsheet). It was also missing some essential items (e.g. kettle, toaster, glasses, dinner plates). It wasn't quite set up to accommodate a family of six people. Outside grill was a small BBQ and filthy with no way to clean it. The biggest issue that we had was the condition of the decking (terrace area). It is in such bad condition with boards and rusty screws sticking out that it is a hospital trip waiting to happen. As a parent, this is something I am extremely disappointed about as my children could have gotten hurt and I could not allow them to freely play around the pool area. Communication with the owner was good - he always responded promptly to any messages and he seemed very friendly. Some of our questions could have been avoided with a pre-emptive information pack. The location was lovely - close to Silves (a nice town), yet in a very quiet location. Lovely view of the surrounding countryside. And the pool was also good. It is a lovely area, just a shame that the accommodation was quite poor. "
