The Aerial Lift bridge is on the bank of Lake Superior. Constructed in 1905, the bridge is a major landmark of the city. It was also the United States’ first transporter bridge. In 1929-30, this was converted to a vertical lift bridge giving way for the ships to pass through. #Duluth #TravelTales #RoadTrip
