“The hotel is on the lower side of the main streets where you can find shops and restaurants. Its also about 10 minutes walk to the caldera look out and to the main bus station. The hotel is new, clean and in a quiet area. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. It has airconditioning and heating system. The hot shower works well. Wifi has good signal. They have a small swimming pool for guests. Amenities are very minimal. I got two small bottle of shampoo and shower gel. The beds……

“I was really looking forward to staying at Winery Hotel 1870, but sadly, I couldn’t make it because a close family member passed away unexpectedly just before my trip. It was a heartbreaking and chaotic time for my family, and I reached out to the hotel a bit later than planned to explain the situation. “The room was lovely and very quiet. Be aware that the water temperature for the hot tub and the shower is set to 33c. This is not a problem in the usual Greek summer weather as it is very hot on Santorini, but it is not truly “hot” water and can be too chilly for a cooler day. ”
