Room was alright. Spacious but not very clean. Found trash in the drawers, mold under the table. Crack in the ceiling. Pool was 'run down', hot tub not available as it had slats of wood covering it. The pool area smelt like an aquarium. The beds were very uncomfortable and pillows as flat as paper. Blaket had a rough texture. Poor customer service. I called several times to let them know of my issues and no one ever answered the phone. The pictires posted online must be YEARS old because it was nothing compared to what you seen in person. Very unsatisfied. Refund is not an option since no one answers the phone and i could not say anything in person because i had children with me and did not want a confrontation. Will never siggest this hotel or any other hotel by wingate by wydham.

Our room was horrendous. The paint is peeling off the ceilings, the bathroom door is falling apart, the tub had mildew, stains, rust, and a leaky faucet. The toilet seat needs replacing (it is riggity and filthy), the toilet itself is filthy, the entrance door's safety clasp is broken. We were scheduled to stay 2 nights. Only stayed one night because we arrived later into the night after a 12-hr travel fiasco due to flight delays and gate changes. We were exhausted. Therefore, we stayed the first night due to exhaustion and the late time of night. However, the next morning, we got our money back for the 2nd night plus the incidental fee we paid. I took a video and showed it to the front desk clerk of EVERYTHING I just wrote about. He was cooperative. That's the only good thing we experienced during our stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The best thing about our stay was the beds. They were soft and comfortable. The staff were very nice. The breakfast was decent. We were really disappointed with the pool/hot tub area. The hot tub wasn't working. It was covered by thick plywood and the fans hanging around the area were peeling and gross-looking. It did not look like the picture featured on the app listing. Overall, for the more affordable price we weren't surprised by the quality we experienced. We slept great, but everything else seemed dark and neglected. However, we've been in worse hotels.

When I walked into the hotel room to go use the bathroom, there was sticky substances all over the floor. I had to clean that before I could even use the bathroom. The mirror was dirty. There was crap on the TV. It was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I ever stayed in. I asked to have a manager call me every night and after telling the front desk guy all of this housekeeping didn’t even bother showing up the first night, oh yeah, and there was no hot water unless you call down and ask the front desk and they did something two of the nights to make me have hot water. This is one of the worst Hotel experiences. Probably the worst Hotel experience I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled a lot. I wouldn’t give you one star, but it wouldn’t let me leave this message without it.

This hotel was disgusting. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. We had dirty face clothes in our shower. The faucet in the shower barely worked with very little hot water. All the pop machines were out of order. The pool looked it was from a horror movie. The beds felt your were sleeping on cardboard. 100% will never stay there again.

Staff was very nice The room was perfect for what we needed. Only thing they didn’t come and collect our dirty towels every day or two but other than that, we went down and got some more and everyone was very polite, we will definitely be staying here again

Booked a king bed suite. The online photos were completely misleading. It showed beautiful bathrooms - one of which had a jetted tub and separate shower. Now, I did not book the room with such amenity, but I expected to have a decent sized bathroom. It was basically a closet that housed a toilet and tub/shower combo. I had to walk sideways to get through the door. Kept banging the door into the tub everytime I went in and out. There was a large spot of the popcorn ceiling missing right above the bed. The light and heat lamp in the bathroom had NO covers on them. They splurged on a backlit mirror for the vanity which was nice, but the counter was unusually short for an adult (about the right height for a child to use).There was a soda bottle lid on the floor between the TV stand and wall that was apparently missed by the cleaning crew before we checked in. I can say that at least the heat worked well and the bed was comfortable. The sitting area was nice and well lit. Needless to say, I would not stay there again. I was disappointed with the accommodations. I can't testify to breakfast as I did not take advantage of it.

This was the worst hotel room I’ve ever booked. I warn you to ignore the slight price savings and stay somewhere/anywhere else! Wingate should inspect the property and its management practices immediately, and hotels.com should consider de-listing this property until conditions have changed. My housemate visited his family in Massillon, Ohio over Thanksgiving for a 4 night stay. When he got to his room, it smelled funny, there were holes in the wall and the door’s safety latch was inoperable. I told him to request a different room. The next room had a cracked door latch, hanging light fixture and a moldy bathroom ceiling. The next day while visiting family, he notices a series of bed bug bites. He slept on a lumpy couch for that night and the rest of the trip. When he returned the next day to check out, the front desk clerk William refused to issue a refund for the remaining two nights and tried to tell him that the six bites weren’t really from bed bugs. The manager “Danny” was “unavailable”. Attempts to contact Wingate failed after an hour of IVR games. Hotels.com was sympathetic but no one from the property or Wingate would return their inquiry. We were charged for all four nights. Wingate of Canton is not being maintained, filthy and infested with blood-sucking insects. Its management is indifferent, so don’t expect this to change. Is every Wingate so poorly overseen?

The hotel did not feel safe at all. The hallways were dark and not lighted at all. The door did not close safely and the hotel had a desolate feel to it. The room was not clean and the entire hotel had a neglected feel. I checked in, went to the room and immediately left. I didn't stay there because I didn't feel safe there at all.
