"We loved the view, the gardens, the privacy the hot tub (the pool was too cool for us) The home was delightful. The cats were fun to interact with. The landscaping is beautiful. We are looking forward to visiting again…Chris and Emily."

"The house was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Location and proximity to town and beach is nice. Unfortunately the WiFi barely worked and there were a lot of rules about where you are allowed to plug in your devices that didn’t really make sense and were rather inconvenient. The host was nice and responsive when we called about an issue with the lights in one of the bathrooms. The stay was a mixed experience overall. The house would be fine if you’re really just using it as a home base and not planning to hang out there a lot."

"It was a terrible experience and I will never book with VRBO ever again. The island is closed down, our flights were canceled and the management company lacked any understanding, keeping all our money including cleaning fees. Completely disappointed and will never use VRBO or Beach Kauai Vacation Rentals ever again. "

"This was our first trip to Hanalei and it was made extra special by staying at Mike and Leila’s place. It is beautiful, perfect location, and has everything you’ll need. We used the bikes and beach chairs to ride into town and relax at the bay. We loved sitting on the balcony or in the upstairs living room with the windows open during the rain. Views are amazing (we could see multiple waterfalls from the balcony). Parking is easy, laundry was so convenient, host was super responsive. We haven’t stopped talking about how great our experience was. We can’t wait to come back! "

"This was a wonderful house and location for our family vacation. Great for both privacy and togetherness with a well equipped kitchen for meals - although it would be nice if the seating upstairs could accommodate eight guests and the beds downstairs were truly kings (now, two twins pushed together). The location is just what we wanted - quiet and tranquil with a few minutes easy access to Hanalei either by car or bike and a lovely small beach across the road. Beautiful views of the ocean. We hope to return!"
