「We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. 「Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. They supplied some wood for a campfire which was nice and each cabin has their own firepit. The lake is beautiful and we could launch our kayaks from the edge beyond the seawall,...
