「The cabin was great!!! Super clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with all needed utensils. Lovely, considerate extras: ice, bottled water, fresh flowers, and so much more! We spent 2 nights as a couple and 2 more as grandparents of 2 boys (3&10). Such valuable memories and happy experiences. Beach was quiet and clean with anything you could hope for!!! So grateful for Carmen’s generosity. 」

「It’s a good location to do everything Northern east coast from Mackinac Island to Tawas and points inland. The cabin is spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but you don’t want to spend a lot of time in there anyway. Communication with the host was/is excellent and timely. 「Wonderful week at a remote waterfront Lake Huron house. Bring everything you will need, as you are 30 minutes north of Oscoda and about 30 minutes south of Alpena. There is a dollar general nearby and a wonderful restaurant 10 min north but true shopping is limited. The house is spacious and located just off a rocky shore beach point with great access for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. Recommend bringing drinking water as well. 「This was a wonderful location for our family and dog to stay. The home was beautiful and the beach was lovely as well. It is quite a hike to the beach but there was a handy wagon there for our stay that we used to take things out to the beach. 」

「We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...

「We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head...

「The cabin is really cute and well stocked, the deck is truly wonderful, we just picked the wrong week to stay somewhere with no air conditioning. Yes, there are plenty of fans and if you don't mind the heat it won't bother you. Checked the weather for the following week and it would have been exceptional to be there that week! The water is gorgeous- clean and clear, the beach is beautiful, with amazingly soft sand. Would definitely stay there again! 」

「We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. We had a blast and the kids have asked to come back here every year from now...

「Very nice house in walking distance of downtown East Tawas. Great fenced-in backyard that our dog loved running around in. Plenty of space and comfort that put it several steps above an up-north "cabin" and made it feel a bit more like home. Host was very responsive and communicated quickly and clearly. 」
