“Great welcome by the staff member at reception after 11pm. I had run out of phone battery & missed a train from London and was concerned no one would be available to check me in but instead the helpful young man even sorted out a glass of wine & some crisps for me & brought them to me even though the bar was closed. So kind, showed me to my room aswell as I was concerned it might be out of the way and in the basement & was going to upgrade if so.

“Enjoyed the hot tub. Delicious full English breakfast 200 yards away at the Burnside Hotel. Great choice of food at the village pub, The Belll.
Arrived at check in time of 4pm and had to call the number to get owner to let us into room. Hard to get shower colder, owner let us use upstairs bathroom meant for another (vacant) room instead.

“I had a wonderful stay! The room is wonderfully appointed, quite large and very cozy. I was thrilled at seeing it. I'm still thinking about the amazing claw foot tub!
