The only complaint about the room was that the window was frosted and therefore we couldn’t see out. No idea whereabouts we were. Breakfast was good, but they had no bananas. "I loved my room at the very top of the hotel, it was very comfortable and had windows on both sides. I was told it was top floor without lifts, and I was fine with this. I loved all the paintings, antique furniture and knock knacks around the public areas, and there was real character to the place The reception staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. "We were upgraded to a room with a stunning sea view. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Only downside was a leaky pipe in our shower was believed to have flooded the room below, but that’s to be expected with such an old and very beautiful building. Would absolutely recommend. "
