“The room was very nice and I appreciated the excellent fan provided, as the weather is hot even at night.Very friendly helpful staff. The amenities generally were prettt good. The bathroom was ok, with nice shower, although the decor is old fashioned and could be spruced up a bit. The breakfast was ok, but quality was not quite as good as most similar priced hotels I have stayed at recently.”

“We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We were surprised with an upgrade to an executive room, which was very spacious. It has a lovely view of the sea. Room has an iron & board, a fan and haie dryer. Easy parking and instructions. Good location to explore and walk to the pier. “The staff who run the property are very welcoming and happy to help. The property itself is in top class condition and trumps any hotel room. Another highlight is the breakfast, which was included in my rate, which include tea or cafetière coffee, a fruit platter, cereals and a cooked breakfast (e.g. salmon and scrambled eggs on granary bread) with many options available. I would highly recommend a stay here and will come again if I am ever back in Southend.”
