Don't normally leave reviews. But this hotel has done an extra mile to be helpful. Sorted out my free car parking issue without i asking for it, also sorted out my baby's milk issue without i asking for it. Always a step ahead of me resolving issues which i greatly appreciated. Wonderful stuffs at reception and room service.

Seven was very well located on the top of the cliff overlooking the pier and close to the cliff lift. It had a private car park at the back. Check in was fine and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. Our room had plenty of hanging space but no drawers or useful shelves for clothes. Tea and coffee provided. My only comment would be the bathroom door opened through the walk in shower which was a bit odd, if someone was in the shower you couldn't really walk in to the bathroom, and the grout/tiles round the base were looking a bit tired and stained. Other than that I really can't fault it. We ate in Aurum in the evening which is a lovely restaurant, maybe a touch expensive for what it was but prices in the south are maybe a bit more than the north of England anyway. The food was good and we had a tasty breakfast there the next day. We would definitely stay there again if we were in Southend area

Positives Good location, various parking options, clean, bed comfy and polite staff. Room for improvement Price was high for the room looking at what you actually get for the price. The bed was very small, the blinds creaked when you opened them, the shower was cold and then when you turned it up the pipes made a really loud noise, some of the bar dishes were like warm, at 10pm club music started to play and it went on late. Guests in the room next to us woke up early and played loud music at 9am and they were talking loudly. We tried to move room but hotel was fully booked.The pre pictures of the hotel make the hotel look nicer and bigger than it is.
