We had a wonderful stay. The couple who run it were incredibly lovely and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, cozy, and full of character. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at the Wanslea Guest House for our anniversary weekend Steve and Tina were amazing hosts helping with our every need and serving a delicious breakfast each day, our room was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others

Wonderful B&B in a great location half way between the town and the lake. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. everything was clean and fully functional and they’d obviously considered previous guests’ feedback on all the little things like plenty of hooks on doors, shower shelf etc. The breakfast is great and you can choose what you want the night before. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Well located

Quick check in, very good breakfast, comfortable and clean room. The owners are very friendly and provide great suggestions for walking trails or places to see / eat. Walking distance to several restaurants and beautiful trails.

We stayed at the Wanslea on a short motorcycle trip to Ambleside. The rooms were spotless and the building is in an excellent location. A member of our party was staying in another hotel but the owners of the Wanslea were kind enough to accommodate him for breakfast. The entire experience was lovely and the owners were incredibly welcoming. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Lovely place and friendly owners

Excellent guest house. We stayed in the king-sized room which was decently sized and had a recently refurbished bathroom. The room was spacious, airy, and bright. The place was lovely and we met one of the owners, Steve, who was an absolutely excellent host, incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely interested in his guests. His delightful conversations and willingness to share invaluable local tips truly enhanced our experience. The breakfast which was included in the reservation was delicious and tasty. The rooms came with kettle and tea bags with milk pots and sugar. There was free parking in nearby car park which was 2 mins walk away from the hotel.

Wanslea Guest house was just what I needed, an oasis in England's beautiful Lake District. The owners spoil you with a wonderful breakfast (many food options), incredibly clean rooms, a well stocked tea cart, comfortable furniture. I would return here in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful few days in Ambleside, staying with Tina and Steve. Everything about the guest house is exactly what we wanted. Clean, friendly, great breakfast, etc. It is a perfect location for visiting Ambleside in the surrounding area. Highly recommended.
