We enjoyed the Windermere Hotel. Its right by the station so vonvenient for travel. Carolina on Reception was charming and super helpful. No problem replenishing room supplies. Beds confortable. Lovely crisp bed linens and towels. Needs a safe luggage cupboard. Our bathroom only closed from inside.

Perfect location right by the train station and bus stops as we didn’t have a car. Lovely walk right next door which I highly recommend. Hotel is old and a bit worn out but very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay in a lovely part of the country.

All good but it would be nice to have a closed room or cupboard to store bags before check in. The loos in main reception were a bit smelly. The bedroom was lovely nicely decorated.. very basic but clean and nice bathroom. Great breakfast
