We had a wonderful stay in the basement Brewer room for three nights! The included breakfast was wonderful, with delicious breads, cheeses, and juice. The room itself was very unique and cozy, and the tub was amazing and is tucked into a little alcove. The ceiling was a little short - my 5'9" husband was okay but it was a little close. The shower had great pressure and the bed was really comfortable. It also had its own private entrance so it felt more like an apartment than a hotel. The only thing we would remark on is the bathroom door- it's made of glass and there are several inches of gap at the top, making privacy difficult from who you're staying with. The staff was so helpful throughout and they even offered a takeaway breakfast delivered to our room as we were departing before the usual breakfast time. Overall we would absolutely stay again!

What a fantastic stay!!! I knew this hotel was going to special, because of the outstandingly glowing reviews and the historical theme, location and setting—but it really was amazing! My favourite things: -Room (The Woodworker) cleverly fitted out and had amazing bathroom with *happy sigh* Le Labo toiletries. We were also gifted a bottle sparkling wine, which was a treat -Breakfast was delicious and was plated and brought to our table with variety of freshly baked goods, boiled egg, fruit, yoghurt, hummus (there are sliced meats if you prefer). The breakfast room was also lovely as it looked out towards the canal -The Craftsman Team: everyone there were really lovely, helpful and friendly Thank you again for a truly special stay!

Séjour extraordinaire dans un hôtel chaleureux, vue incroyable sur les canaux, intérieur cosy, soigné et intemporel, d’une propreté remarquable. Fantastic service and accommodation. Very central. A warning to those that are not good with stairs some of the rooms have steps in them to get to the toilet etc. but speak to the staff and they will advise. Staff were so helpful.

A really unique hotel, very creative and fun. The location was fabulous, a quiet neighborhood with great dining and sights within blocks. This hotel reflects the beauty and vibrancy of Amsterdam. The canal and city views were fantastic.

My husband and I stayed at The Craftsman for 3 nights in the Tanner room and had an exceptional stay. It was amazing to look out the windows at the lights reflecting off the canal at night and we didn’t hear our neighbors even once (sometimes a trade off when staying in buildings with so much history). The included breakfast was also fantastic! I am gluten free and they prepared a special little bread basket just for me, so I could enjoy a croissant and bread too, which is not something I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. On our way out, they even gave us a little gift to remember our experience by. All this and a stellar location means it’s the first place I’d look to stay again whenever we make it back to Amsterdam. Highly recommend!
