「We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. 「The property was nice but felt like any little “extra” came at a cost. Hot Tub? You had to pay per person for 30 minutes. Have not seen that before. No laundry facilities as advertised and cake in drawing room was added to invoice on check out. Nice property but be aware of extras. 」

「Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you .」

「Staff was outstanding. The rooms were out of this world. Great location and the views were great. Traveled from the USA and our hotels could really learn from you guys. Also Rona webt above and beyond, she deserves a real pat on the back. The male manager was awesome as well always checking to make sure everything was ok. 」

「All the staff we talked to were helpful and nice. In a good location for shops, bars and ferry. We found parking at Tweedle car park was much cheaper than the small one next to it. We just found our double standard bedroom extremely small and not big enough for 2 people staying for 4 nights. Man on duty did try to change rooms for us but none were free.」

「The host was very kind. The room was clean but the furniture and bedding was very outdated. The bed had an older mattress and it was squeaky and lumpy. It could be a cute place if it was updated. The furniture was worn and old and not attractive. The room felt very sad to be in. The TV was from the 1980s and super small. 」
