With its blend of stone, wood and creative modern design, Villa Rhea provides a blissful base for families, thoughtfully arranged with two double bedrooms and two singles so everyone can enjoy a little private space. High quality Coco-mat beds, bathrobes, optional pool heating and a hydro-massage bath create a pampering, hotel-style feel, though most guests will naturally gravitate outdoors to the pristine pool and wide terraces where sunshine, scenery and tranquillity combine to dissolve any lingering stress.
The location is equally appealing, with Plaka village a 15-minute stroll away for taverna lunches and simple shops, while Almyrida lies just beyond with its gently shelving sandy beach, watersports and excellent waterfront restaurants. This coastline is rich in history, from the ancient theatre of Aptera to the Allied WWII cemetery, and no stay would be complete without exploring the atmospheric harbour town of Chania. Villa Rhea sits close to Villa Kronos, and though entirely independent, the two may be rented together for larger groups seeking both space and spectacular views.
