We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Terasu Salento. It is clean, well maintained, attentive staff. Rooms are beautiful with a lively garden area. Valentina was amazing. She answered all our questions about booking tours etc. Good options for breakfast which is included. The hotel is at the edge of town and a short walk to the main square.

The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room and bathroom was impeccably clean; the bed linens were great and the bed was comfortable. There was a small living room/dining area for guests which always had hot water for tea, coffee and filtered water. There was also filtered water in the room. The place is rustic but very, very pleasant. The breakfast offerings were tasty and substantial.

Nos alojamos durante 3 días en este hotel de Salento y la experiencia fue excelente. La habitación era amplia, con una cama grande y muy cómoda, además de contar con una terraza preciosa. La decoración estaba cuidada al detalle y transmitía mucha armonía. Los desayunos eran deliciosos, con muy buena calidad y presentación. La atención de todo el personal fue excelente, y queremos resaltar de manera especial a Orlando, cuya amabilidad y disposición hicieron que nuestra estancia fuera aún mejor. Sin duda, un hotel muy recomendable.

What a lovely and relaxing stay! A few minutes walk from town, overlooking the lights at night, and enjoying thx beautiful view. The most enjoyable and freshly prepared breakfasts to start off the day, and lovely relaxing jacuzzis and a sauna to pamper you after a busy day of hiking or horse riding (or just shopping). And the best staff! So caring and ready to help!

Perfect location, atmospheric hotel and restaurant

Beautiful atmospheric hotel with a wonderful restaurant, Terra. Stunning views from the hilltop terrace. Excellent cocktail bar. All round flawless, friendly service. About 30 mins walk from the Santa Rita waterfalls with incredible birdlife. A few minutes taxi ride into lively Salento town.

This hotel really made our stay in Salento wonderful. We got a large room upstairs with a king sized bed. The beds were so comfortable and the showers hot with great water pressure. The rooms and common space were decorated well, with cute porches and hammocks outside. The hotel is located walking distance to downtown and entre bosques coffee farm. The best part of staying here was the staff. Valentina and Yidleydi went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed (restaurants, coffee tours, etc). Orlando who works there even drove his motorbike for us to follow him to get air in our tires. Make SURE you take advantage of the wonderful spa experiences Gisele and Natalia provide! Gisele was so wonderful, applying aloe to our sunburns and bug bites. I would recommend noise cancelling headphones and/or white noise if you are a light sleeper. But overall we loved staying here.

We kregen een vriendelijk ontvangst. Er stond een flesje wijn voor ons op de kamer. Hotel Terasu ligt zo’n 8 minuten wandelen buiten het dorp. Het hotel is keurig verzorgd en schoon. Leuk is dat ze een hottub hebben en een sauna, die je gratis mag gebruiken. Het was jammer dat we de minst prettige kamer kregen. Tegenover de receptie, langs de weg en met bovenburen. De gebouwen zijn van hout. Je hoort elke stap die de bovenburen maken.

Wonderful stay in Terasu

We stayed 3 nights as part of our 3 week visit to Colombia. There was so much to do in the area and this hotel was ideal and tranquil. The beds were so big and comfy and the grounds were amazing with hot tubs, sauna and jacuzzi

Good hotel with no respect for data privacy.

Hotel Terasu remains a good property in Salento but be prepared for the management to spam your WhatsApp with unsolicited commercial messages offering additional services or requesting that you hashtag them in social media posts. I blocked the first message so they pestered me from a new number, at which point I complained to them. Colombian Ley 1581 de 2012 requires companies to obtain consent for each specific use of personal data. Hotel Terasu receives mobile numbers with the bookings and wrongly presumes it is OK for them to use this for marketing, cross-selling, and social media strategy. It is not OK, it is plain illegal under Colombian law. One could wonder what other Colombian laws this hotel does not care about. If for some reason you like being bothered by intrusive, unprofessional and juvenile WhatsApp messages then Hotel Terasu is definitely the perfect option in Salento. The hotel would do well to reconsider its policy, especially since it is not lawful and could result in complaints to the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo.
