Norfolk Arms Hotel, Arundel, West Sussex
Stay: August Bank Holiday, 2025
Rating: 4.5/5 Stars
I stayed at the Norfolk Arms Hotel in Arundel as a solo traveler over the August Bank Holiday, 2025, to visit friends and enjoy the vibrant Arundel Festival. The hotel’s communication before my arrival was excellent—both Expedia and the hotel responded promptly to my parking inquiries with clear details, which made planning a breeze.
Check-in was a highlight; I arrived early, but the friendly receptionist stored my bags and encouraged me to explore the festival, letting me know I could return after 3pm. The warm welcome set a great tone. My room had a cozy small double bed that was very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and delicious biscuits. The bathroom suite, though older, was recently refreshed and spotlessly clean. I loved the natural hand wash, shower gel, shampoo, and body cream provided—such a nice touch!
I opted for breakfast across the road at the Motte & Bailey, which was fantastic, so I can’t comment on the hotel’s dining. The Norfolk Arms’ central location was perfect for festival events and visiting friends.
Overall, the Norfolk Arms offered a welcoming and comfortable stay, ideal for solo travelers or festival-goers. The attentive service and little extras made it memorable. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Arundel!
