The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are ok, not luxury. In some rooms WiFi is very weak. Don’t get the $25 dinner at the restaurant. It was the worst dinner on our whole trip.

This is a lovely place that we picked because of its proximity to Kilimanjaro Airport. We only stayed one night but I would be happy to stay longer if we were going to be in the area. I liked the bush-like appearance of the grounds. Everything was top-notch. Food was great. As to seeing the mountain--not in the cards that day. I highly recommend the facility

Easy check-in, staff helped me to my room with my bags and oriented me to the amenities in the room. Door knob was loose and seemed unsafe, no interior latch on door. There was a gap between bottom of door and floor where critters could get in. Bottled water was provided in room. King size bed had 2 sets of twin bedding which seemed odd. Low water pressure in shower and drain had a foul odor. Good complimentary breakfast. Beautiful and well maintained grounds minutes away from the airport. Perfect for late night/early morning flights. Complimentary ground transportation to/from airport. Attentive staff at all times. I would book again due to short distance from airport.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The property was just what a rustic African lodge should be! I was there during dry season and I am sure the property is beautiful and green during and after rains! So convenient to the airport! Just a fun, friendly place! Food was very good also!

I was only here briefly and at night, but it was truly gorgeous and incredibly convenient as it was located literally on the airport premises so arriving at the airport took minutes. I only have two suggestions and I think they could be easily remedied. 1. Airport transportation (which is advertised as complimentary) made it very clear a tip was expected. Either charge outright for the service or talk to drivers about not asking directly for "tips" when they're actually expecting payment. I'm American and have no problem tipping as it's our culture. However, I don't have cash on hand always at the end of a trip. I'd rather just be able to use my card. 2. My dining experience was extremely awkward. The host remained about 15 feet from my table the entire time and it was extremely quiet to begin with so I felt weird talking to my friend about anything because every word could be heard. If he had just moved over a little when he saw we were the only table, it would've been much less bizarre. Other than that, I'd happily book again. Albeit, with cash payment on hand for the driver's payment and a book to read in the restaurant so that I don't have to speak. 💁‍♀️

Convenient - it’s physically inside the airport gates. Check out was at 10:00. If your flight is in the evening they have you check out and store your bags at reception; you can remain on the grounds by the pool or in the restaurant or bar while waiting. The gift shop is great if you’ve not been able to find a souvenir for someone before departing.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is great and is essentially in the airport. Beautiful view of Kili from the pool. Pretty, tropical looking grounds. Would stay again.

J'avais choisi cet hotel pour la proximité de l'aéroport, j'ai réservé le transfert et le chauffeur était bien present à mon arrivée à 2h du matin. Je suis donc satisfait. Pour le reste, l'hotel est vieillot, dommage mais il manque d'entretien, chambre et jardin. Piscine très agréable et belle vue sur le K. Personnel sympa.

Wifi was not working in the room due to some problem. Had to go to the bar to connect to wifi which was spotty. Very old furnishings, poor bathroom facilities and non-smoking staff except Teresia (so?). The hotel manager was unapologetic about the wifi issue and did not offer any other amenities to compensate. Very poor standard for a hotel that charges almost $200 USD per night.

Way over priced.. Food was awlful.. Toilet didnt work. Staff VERY eager to assist and were friendly BUT communication was a struggle and their hygiene could of been better.. Strong BODY ODOR. I am very disappointed..

Comme je devais prendre un vol très tôt le matin, c'était la meilleure option pour moi. Hôtel sympa et à moins de 5 minutes de l'aéroport du Kilimanjaro. Ma chambre était spacieuse, confortable et bien aménagée. La nourriture était bonne et Elizabeth était vraiment agréable. Comme je partais avant l'ouverture du restaurant, j'avais demandé à avoir une boite petit dej, mais le responsable a ouvert le restaurant 1/2 heure plus tôt, afin que je puisse manger tranquillement. C'était parfait :)

Great airport lodge!!

We loved Kia Lodge! It is not your average airport hotel - the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are really nice. The staff was super friendly and the food was good. Only issue was that there was no wifi in the rooms. Other than that our stay was great. Would definitely recommend!

Great quiet location

Very easy checkin and beautiful property. There was no way to contact the hotel to organize for the free shuttle. It is a 5min drive. None of the posted numbers work and there are no email addresses. It would be nice for the hotel to offer free shuttles if hotels.com is going to post that service on the booking site. Thanks!
