Communication with the host was great. The location was convenient, feeling both secluded yet close to groceries and fast food. The home is older so creaking and functionality (hall bathroom shower head directly in front of shower door) were a concern. Water pressure and temp were great. The bedrooms are situated in a way that feels private but sounds carry unless you're in the basement bedroom. Even though the floor creaking from above was complained about from this sleeping down there. We enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds in the morning from the deck. The home is for sure pet friendly so be mindful to have a lint brush handy after sitting on the chair or sofa in the living room. A fire pit would have been nice during the evening. The kitchen was adequate for quick meal prep. With the understanding that the home is in a wooded area we still got freaked out by the nightly arrival of stink bugs (according to Google) so that was a little unsettling but the home was very clean.
