Located in one of North Carolina's most pristine coast lines, this beautiful Down East soundside cottage will surely not disappoint. Sleeps up to 6 family members and/ or friends with fresh linens and towels supplied. Enjoy your mornings and evenings on the day dock or screened in porch. Comes a long with your own private beach access overlooking Core Sound and old Drum Inlet. One of Carteret County's best unobstructed views.

Peaceful, lovely and close to the ferry

We were 2 miles from the ferry for Portsmouth Island which was the reason for our visit. We brought all of our meals to cook at the house and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the water in the evening. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Simply a great place.

My wife and I have stayed throughout the Beaufort/Harkers Island area over the years, and this "Down East" cottage is the best of the best! It is simplicity, privacy, and world-class views rolled into one. The property is built for relaxation. It has a beautiful covered dock, a screened-in porch for evening enjoyment, and a small beach area. Inside, you will find beautiful prints and artwork describing the "Down East" way of life. The open concept lets in plenty of light, and enhances views of the Core Sound. The furniture was very comfortable, and the cottage was very clean. If you want to get away from crowded condominiums, and traffic congestion, this is the place!

Nice get away, very peaceful... great star gazing and water views!!

We enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very private, enjoyed sitting on the porch with the water views. At night, stars and the moon were beautiful! Floated and sunbathed at the dock area during the day. The only negatives, the house has a lot of personal items in it. A little worried we would mess up a sentimental item. Learning some history of Linda and the cottage was interesting... it was almost like she was with us! It is a little drive from Beaufort to get there, but worth it. Baths and kitchen and furnishings could use a freshening up. But... overall a very nice, a little off the grid long weekend!!! We had a good time!

Anniversary stay

Very relaxing home. Beautiful views of water! Loved time sitting on swing and using the dock for feeding the seagulls and sun bathing. Enjoyed our time down east. Hope to visit again!
