This is great for a family stay, with a fun layout, comfortable beds, & cool amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub and overall setup of the home, which made it easy for everyone to relax. That said, the cleaning fell well below expectations for a rental at this price point. There was a clear lack of thorough cleaning throughout the home. Several carpets had not been properly vacuumed and were covered in dog hair, as were the sofa cushions. The blankets also had a noticeable dog odor. We are not opposed to pet-friendly homes, but the amount of pet hair left behind reflected a lack of care and attention from the cleaning service. There was hair in the shower drains, bathrooms that were not fully cleaned, and large dust accumulations in the walk-in closets of the two main bedrooms—issues that could have been easily addressed with routine vacuuming. Some dishes had been put away dirty, and there was insufficient silverware for a group of ten.We also experienced a maintenance concern with the tennis court, where tiles were breaking off. One tile broke underfoot and caused a bruise, which felt like a safety issue that should be addressed.When we contacted the management company, they were responsive and promptly sent another cleaner, which we appreciated. However, even after the follow-up, the overall lack of detailed cleaning remained noticeable. With improved/change in cleaning, this would be an excellent rental. Thank you for the stay.

We chose this place to stay for my sisters bachelorette trip and it was PERFECT. The property was very clean upon arrival and it had plenty of space for our party of 9. There are so many different things to do at this property, we wouldn’t have had to leave to have a good time!! We all wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all the amenities we loved. The property manager was very responsive and answered all questions quickly and politely. We had the best stay and definitely would recommend this stay to anyone!!

Fun with family

Great location, amenities were all nice. We stayed with family and had a very fun time. Sunrises and Sunsets were excellent. The pool was clean. We would stay here again.

Hill Country Getaway

We had the best time in this cozy oasis. There were beautiful wildflowers surrounding the property, the pool was amazing, and the hot tub at night was so relaxing. The hosts were so kind to turn it on for us. We loved our stay and hopefully can come back!

You can tell a book by its cover!

This house is amazing! The house is as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. We particularly appreciated the location - close to other family and to Angel's, a favorite spot for lunch/dinner or just hanging out. Hoping to return so we can use the pool because the hot tub was so enjoyable - at night looking up to the big sky and bright stars. Great place for a family gathering.

Texas Ya Ya Girls Weekend

We travelled from far and near to meet up in Texas. The pool and the scenery was so beautiful we spent Saturday sunbathing and enjoying the peace and quiet. It was the perfect retreat. The location was great to enjoy a great meal at the Bay View Restaurant in Cottonwood Shores. Would definitely come back!!

Escape from the City

We drove up from Houston for weekend get away. The property was beautiful, great outdoor areas for dining, crystal blue swimming pool, well maintained pickleball court and trampoline. House was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen has large island perfect for prepping and serving. Property owners were friendly and prompt to respond to all questions via text. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for family get-away

Location was good for local attractions. House was clean and decently stocked, the kitchen could use a few more utensils and silverware The main bedroom at the back of the house stays a little warm at night. We loved the pool! Kids enjoyed the pickleball, just needs lighting. Overall everyone had a great time.

Awesome place to chill

Our family came to Austin to see the eclipse and experience Texas Hill Country. We were not disappointed. Bear Moon Ranch was a great place for everybody relax, unwind and just chill.

Great trip but wouldn't go back

My family and I had a great time. But we wouldn't go back. The views are amazing and the location is very private. However, the internet was super spotty. My IT husband determined that the equipment was good but there was a setting limiting it's functionality. As a result we had a hard time using our baby monitor which was very problematic. Watching TV was also hard but not the end of the world because we weren't there for TV. We also enjoyed the hot tub quite a bit. However, the listing doesn't tell you that you need to request the hot tub be heated via text to the owners/managers because it isn't all the time. While the host was very responsive, on at least one occasion by the time we got a response and then the tub was heated, it was too late for us to get in. I'd rather pay extra and have the option to turn on the heat myself. Based on weather, which of course is outside the host's control, I wish the pool was also heated, I'd even have been willing to pay a premium to have that as an option. Check in and out was great and we were able to both check in early and out late which was perfect for our group traveling both by car and plane. There is not a light over the dining room table. During the day it's beautiful with the garage door style window/opening. However, at night it was difficult to gather and play games at the table. Overall we had a great trip and the time spent with family was exactly what we all needed.

Beautiful view and plentiful activities

We drove in from Cypress, TX to meet family for the Christmas holiday. The property is so private and quaint. Such a beautiful area just outside of Austin. The house was very spacious. The layout is a bit odd as there is not an attached bath for the main bedroom. You have to walk across the house to access. Plenty of games and things to do. Pickelball/sport court was the highlight for sure and was an absolute blast. There is an excellent fire pit, pool w/hot tub (heated by request), pool table, arcade and board games. One of our guests brought their dog. But if you don't bring a pet, expect to see dog hair. The kitchen was not well stocked and grateful we drove so we were able to bring a lot. Needs to be cleaned of junk and re-stocked with essential cooking stuff. Especially because there is an induction cooktop and options are extremely limited. On the positive side, the stocked coffee bar, paper items and laundry were a nice addition. The patio off of the dining has an excellent transparent garage that is fully functional. Be prepared to battle with flys if it is open while you eat. There is plenty of room to explore, listen to coyotes by the campfire, and the view is incredible. Bed was comfortable and is there is plenty of seating between the dining, living and outdoor space. All the Roku TVs were working. The side patio could use some more light and the sport court light wasn't working. Overall, very pleasant and wonderful hosts!

Fantastic little slice of comfort near Austin!

Privet little get away close to Austin, yet very much secluded and privet. Took a 4 day get-away and enjoyed most every bit. Extremely nice pool with hot-tub and abit of a view! Comfortable beds, awesome kitchen to cook in, and very easy access without driving hours on end away from the city.

Family Get Together

A mostly great time was had by all! I say mostly because the pool guy came while we were there and that caused us to miss an afternoon of swimming. The house also did not have an outside grill but overall a great property for out family of nine to get together.

Excellent Place!

We had never been to Austin and came to town for a wedding. The house was great; if anything, undersold a little. There’s a ton to do, and it’s a nice area. A little bit of a drive to everywhere, but not awful. The last 3/8 mile to get to the house is not great road, and it was a touch hard to find at night. The A/C didn’t work our first two days, and got quite warm at night; but we were in constant contact with Ed and or Andrea, and they responded very quickly, and remedied the problem. Those were our only issues. I thought about giving a 4.5 for that instead, but honestly, for the price paid, we were still more than satisfied. It’s a great place, and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.
