Nice stay - just 2 items the management company might consider

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was close to where my granddaughter and her partner live so the proximity was very helpful. The unit was clean and well stocked and had plenty of room to easily accommodate my son, my adult grandson and me, as well as visitors who dropped by during our stay. All communication with the owner and the management company was clear and helpful including the guides. There were only two concerns we experienced during our stay. One was that the back door locked upon being closed from the outside and required an access code to re-enter. We requested the access code for the back door from the management company and were told that they preferred us to enter via the front door. The problem was that if you go out the back door to the patio, you can’t get back in because the gate to leave the backyard (in order to re-enter through the front door) is locked. We were glad that someone had stayed in the house and was able to open the door from the inside, which prevented us from being locked out the first time we went outside. Whenever we accessed the backyard after that we were required to leave the door ajar in order to re-enter. The other concern is that the thermostat was locked at 68 degrees. This may have been OK had the temperatures outside stayed relatively warm but with the cooler temperatures accompanying the snow the house was quite chilly. In fact I wore 3 layers of clothing during our 5 day stay.

Hidden Treasure Stay in Austin

This location is not much to look at from the outside but has a very nice, clean, comfortable and well designed interior. The neighborhood itself is transitional but close to the South Congress area of shops and restaurants and fairly close to downtown. It’s a good value.

The neighborhood is OK and the exterior could use some landscaping but the interior was all we expected. It was stylishly appointed, with a well-supplied kitchen and bath. Bedrooms were fine but new mattresses and a couch and LR rug cleaning should be on the owner’s to do list. All in all, it was a good stay and value.

We loved this stay! We had a crowded flight from Dallas, tons of traffic in Dallas and Austin! Our rental car broke down. We finally arrived to this HAVEN! There were 3 of us staying. We had enough space for each of us to take a room for some decompression time. A hotel room wouldn’t have been big enough. We really enjoyed our stay after touring all the sites of Austin. We will be back.
