“I’ll preface by saying I know it’s the off season… but we found there was usually nobody around and things were pretty neglected. We found everything comfortable enough, our room had been cleaned and linens were clean, but the rooms are not in the best condition. Ther stairs to the building had thick ice. The rooms that you enter via a hallway are noisy (the key code for the door is super loud!) and make it feel more like shared accommodation.”

“Domes are a newly added addition to the Baddeck Hotel, and private washrooms are being worked on and are under construction. The current bathrooms are in a private room in the hotel and are clean. Highway noise from the NS HWY 105 was loud. The dome was great, just needs a privacy shade for the glass entry door. Many heaters are included to keep you warm during the winter, and a heat pump is available for A/C in the summer. Overall, I had a good stay. The experience is bound to get better when……

“My husband and I had a wonderful couple of nights at Chanterelle. We stayed in a room in the main building. We loved the peacefulness of the place. It was such a relaxing place to stay. Breakfast was delicious! We booked dinner for the one evening. We were so glad we did. It was an 8 course meal. Every dish was excellent! Would recommend if you’re looking for peace and relaxation and excellent food!”

“Clean room, hot tub was on deck. Super relaxing night. Close walk to main lodge for dinner and breakfast. Sauna was really wuick to heat up and had me sweating bullets. Beautiful views in a great location just off the main Cabot Trail road. Highly recommended. Will return”
