The bridge is currently closed, and is being repaired by the Florida DOT. It is scheduled to reopen in 2021. In the Florida Keys, there is no name better known than Henry Flagler who built the world-famous Oversea Railway in the early 1900's. Called the "8th Wonder of the World", this amazing ribbon of steel and concrete forever changed the history of the Florida Keys.
Just in case you wanted to know how close LA, Honolulu Detroit or Wildwood, NJ was? Right here in Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key we can find the answer to that question.
For me the best beach in the world to get away and chill.

Property was beautiful, room was clean but a little underwhelming compared to the resort we stayed at for a few days before during our trip to Key West. Our only and biggest complaint was that we opted to eat off property during our stay, after spending $48.00 for 2 coffees, muffins a bagel for breakfast ...

We enjoyed the pool area. The bar tenders were great. The food was excellent. We will be back. Only downfall was the pullout bed was not comfortable at all need more cushion.

Calusa beach Pequena praia de águas tranquilas dentro do Bahia Honda State Park. Ideal para famílias passarem o dia. Tem mesas e bancos para picnic. A bela vista da ponte desativada é um incentivo para a fotografia. Banheiros impecáveis e totalmente equipados.
