Million Dollar View Cabin By New River Gorge Park

"Positives;We enjoyed our stay here. The views were excellent with a fantastic sunrise from the front porch. It was lovely watching the fog roll over the mountains in the early mornings. The cabin itself was very clean and quite quaint. Location was easy to access and was nearby a town for shopping. We didn't have to travel far in order to get to the south end of New River Gorge. It was quiet for the most part (other than barking dogs) with great star viewing at night!Negatives;The only reason I docked stars was because the description is a little inaccurate on Vrbo. Description says this is a very private 60 acre property. We believed this was a single cabin by itself on the property. The host doesn't disclose until check-in information is received that there is an identical second cabin literally right next door, as well as a bunch of campsites on the property where others were staying and some visible from the porch. It's basically a private campground on a clear cut piece of property. Also, it would have been nice to have more sharp steak/chopping knives in the kitchen."

"A nice motel, a bit dated and modest, but a good value for the money. I was here during the off-season, so very quiet. There is a restaurant and bar in the lodge that has live music, but my schedule did not allow me to try either. Overall very satisfied."

"We booked this place because it was a pet friendly accommodation. The room was as described and suited our needs. However BASIC accommodations as we were getting ready for a wedding. Poor lighting, SMALL mirror. ROACHES (I would like to think they were water bugs), and a leaky air condition. Hit with an additional $60 cleaning charge when arriving. Great area, friendly staff when needed. Very clean property. But the little things will probably keep us from revisiting."

"My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was so quiet, peaceful and serene. Deer came into the yard quite often. We built a fire in both the fire pit in the yard and by the water, made s’mores and relaxed. It didn’t matter where we sat, on the porch, yard chairs by fire pit or by the water… the sound of the water was so soothing. The house is pretty secluded. Of you need peace and quiet and to just relax, this is the place for you. It is also between so many state and national parks… so much to do. We rented a pontoon for a day and visited so many parks. Great stay, would definitely recommend!!"
