Fantastic property with fantastic hosts who couldn't do enough for us.
Even the poor weather did not take away from a great couple of days in a prime spot with excellent accommodation. 5 star treatment and everything you could think would be required was taken into account by the hosts.
All round excellent.
Absolutely beautiful weekend away! Such a lovely location and the cabin is perfect! The owners were so lovely and always answered any questions I had! We would love to visit again!
More than we had hoped for, cozy, warm and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, everything was supplied for it even decaf tea and coffee. Spectacular views!

Spectacular views and very quiet. Host was wonderful.
Amazing place for some time in the Irish countryside
We had an amazing stay at Hugh and Claire’s cabin during our elopement/honeymoon. The hosts were helpful and friendly. The cabin is beautiful, the hot tub was excellent, and it was great to interact with the animals on the property. Would absolutely recommend you stay here if you get the chance!
Beautiful wee property in a stunning location. Loved sitting in hot tub gazing out to sea and up at the stars - mesmerising. All needs are catered for in the cosy chalet. Handy for lots of good walks too.
Beauty and comfort that topped the photos and descriptions of this cabin. A spectacular place to land for our last 2 days in Ireland. Thank you Claire and Hugh!
What an amazing property-a magical cottage set on a hill overlooking the rolling hills and ocean ! Charming, cozy, clean, and the hot tub was magical, especially in the moonlight! Do
(Helpful Hints: Do NOT use Apple Maps and plug in the address… it will lead you to a vacant field. Use the Eircode they give you which we didn’t realize was an Irish coordinates system for exact location-very helpful in rural situations.) Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!!
We stayed three nights at the cabin at Carnanmor. It’s a very comfortable place. Plenty of hot water, an excellent shower and very effective heating along with adequate cooking facilities. The view out to Torr Head and across the water to Kintyre is ever changing and very striking. The Mull of Kintyre lighthouse provides a comforting night light….
A vigorous walk along the Torr Road to Cushendun or a shorter though still steep stroll down the road to the Headland are possible because of the light traffic.Ballycastle, the Rathlin Island ferry and the Giant’s Causeway are within easy reach in the car.
Hugh and Claire are very easy to contact and helpful.
The host messaged us close to check in time. This area is very remote with little cell service so we had to go back into town to view the message that was sent via VRBO app. The thermostats were locked, so we could not turn the temperature down. We had the option to turn them off, but we did not know how cool it would get overnight. The WiFi is also limited with what you can do. I do a lot of online schooling and work, in the booklet it requests that you do not stream. Well, I do need to watch a lot of lectures online for my classes and whatnot. I did not know how much school I could accomplish. There was also a “laundry” amenity listed. There was not that option available. If you wanted to take a shower that was warm (or even hot) you hardly had any water pressure, could only have water pressure with cold water. I had dropped something in the corner by the fireplace and noticed some mouse droppings. There was also a dog that barked non stop throughout the night. It was just not a comfortable spot and we left after our first night.
My sister and I took a 3 week trip all around Ireland. This was out second last stop. The town of Ballycastle nearby was wonderful - from the local pub with stained glass windows to the friendly family butcher to the local who gave us what was left on their parking pass! The cottage was a great place as home base for us to do the Giant's Causeway cliff walk. I would have given all 5 stars but it was disappointing that the kitchen was only really good for making breakfast. I love to cook and I always cook our own dinner but while there is an oven, there are no suitable pans to use in the oven. One of my learnings on our travels was that not all fridges in Ireland include a freezer. Good thing I brought a cooler bag. :-)
Cute costal cottage with lots of amenities and essentials provided. Beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean and Scotland. Great location to Causeway Coast, including Giants Causeway and Rope Bridge. Hot tub was great too and a bonus after sightseeing all day.
Great place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful and remote. Cabin has everything you need. Owners were brilliant. Hugh saved the day by towing us out due to heavy snow making the road not passable. Would definitely book again
Loved the challenge of the roller coaster roads, framed in varying shades of green dotted with sheep and cows. Giants Causeway better than imagined. The Glens area amazing, with friendly people and constantly changing sky’s.
Fantastic location, well thought out use of small space, comfortable bed and living area. Well equipped kitchen.
Some more low level lighting would be good as the property was quite dark without the ‘big’ lights on. We found someone else’s socks under the bed hence only 4 for cleanliness.
The woodland setting is very atmospheric but beware of parking under the trees - the crows made a quite mess of the car one night!
What a wonderful place with wonderful hosts. Such a variety of provisions at hand. A hidden gem.
Fantastic weekend, a soon as you enter gateway peace and tranquility are there to greet you. A credit to Hugh and Clare, thank you so much and we,ll see yous very soon . Perfect place for anyone any time of year 100 out of 10, that's a fact
This property had stunning views and was both warm and comfortable. Claire & Hugh are excellent hosts and provided us with a warm Irish welcome - including well-stocked cupboards !
Well equipped and comfortable wood cabin. Hosts supplied milk, bread, orange juice, eggs etc. which was very helpful for a short stay. Views from the property were great. Felt remote but still only a 5 minute drive from Ballycastle. Convenient location for many popular North coast tourist attractions.
