Enjoyed my stay at the Menai hotel, my room was a good size and clean and comfortable too. The hotel breakfast was very good also. The hotel's location is in Upper Bangor and is not far from the railway station and near bus routes and not far from the town centre either. The limited interaction I had with hotel staff I can say that they were pleasant and helpful. Overall, definitely no complaints.

Not the smartest hotel in the world but it makes up for this by the friendliness of the welcome with good sized clean and comfortable rooms that have an individuality not found in modern hotels. The barroom downstairs has a good selection of drinks and there are bar billiards tables. Just be aware there is no lift so stairs to rooms must be managed. After a good nights sleep breakfast awaits exactly as you ordered it

Shower was poor. Some of the rooms are being renovated but we were in a room that hadn’t been so decor & bathroom tiles were in a poor state. There was no where to hang clothes. The staff were very friendly & polite

Oldfashioned but lovely

Es ist alt und abgewohnt, hat aber was. Alles Notwendige ist da, es ist recht sauber, der integrierte Pub ist cool, das Frühstück klasse, die Lage zur Uni perfekt, der Service sehr nett.
