「None of the listed amenities actually exist. No pool. No spa. Horrible location way out on the edge of town. On the positive side, the girl at the front desk was very helpful. She helped me get a train ticket out of Lao Cai. I was going to stay three nights but left after one. Also the bed was nice and comfortable after a few weeks of hard traveling. Old car tires were used to hold up the flower beds. That’s not very ecolodge like. The food was not very good. I ordered a Banh mi and received something with scrambled eggs and two slices of Wonderbread. No baguette in sight, no pork or other meats. The whole village is incredibly dirty with trash everywhere. I’m not...

They won’t give us a room with a view, even though we were the only people staying there. We had to keep our curtains closed throughout as it was directly to an open top of the next building. At checkout, we were asked to pay for our room again! On our insistence, they let us go, as I said’ we paid for our room when we booked! Nice hotel, but the insisting that we have not...
