Wonderful place to stay in Bar Harbor. Easy short walk to downtown, way less than 10 minutes, yet quiet location away from downtown noise and traffic. Easy access to Acadia. Cleanest room we've stayed in! Lovely pool, spacious grounds, easy parking. Given high cost of lodging in peak season in Bar Harbor, amazing value.

Clean, big motel room with ample parking. Great location just a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants but just beyond the noise of downtown. Near the beautiful sea walk. Nestled into the lush greenery of Maine. Great location for exploring by foot or car. Staff was wonderful.

As travelers, four variables are most important; cleanliness, location, comfort and value. Simply put the Cromwell has it all. Walkable to the ocean path as well as Main Street in Bar Harbor is a huge plus.

Very easy parking, clean rooms, and friendly staff. It's just outside town and an easy ~10 min walk to main st with coffee shops, etc. Rooms are slightly dated but well maintained and comfortable. Everything we needed for our hiking trip to Acadia.

The Cromwell is owned by kids who were gifted the property by their parents. Out of a 7500 mile road trip. This was by far the cleanest the nicest kept grounds inside and out. Everything looked brand new and still maintaining some charm from their parents era.
I made it a point to go to the office and tell the staff only need to be lucky enough to meet two of the kids!
We had an amazing experience and will surely be back

Just wonderful! A perfectly walkable location just at the front of town WITH PARKING!! NICE! The owner was personable and gave us great recommendations. While the furniture is a bit dated, it is well maintained and clean and comfy. We booked last minute and didnt have high expectations, but we were so pleased. Perfect place to crash after a long day in Acadia.

The property was very well maintained. The hotel was very well maintained. The room was very nice, spacious and immaculate. I wish every motel I stayed at was even close to this property. I could tell the family takes pride in their property. It’s about 1/2 mile or so to the main town walking. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.

It is a wonderful place to stay. You can walk to anywhere in Bar Harbor within 20 minutes and parking was $4 an hour everywhere, so it was very nice to be within walking distance to the shore walk and to restaurants and activities. It was about 2 minutes from Acadia. It was very clean and well kept. It was in a very safe area, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.
