Great location and excellent hosts

We had a lovely week in Barcelona as a family of five. The property location was excellent, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Many attractions were within walking distance, and the rest were a short cab ride away. The hosts were excellent, from a quick and thorough checkin, to fast email responses. Overall I recommend the property for a stay in Barcelona!

Wonderful apartment

Wonderful neighborhood apartment within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Close enough to a main street to hop in a cab to take you to all the wonderful places Barcelona has to offer. There's a lovely terrace perfect for coffee in the morning and wine at night. Would definately recommend this as a place to stay.

A fantastic location to explore Barcelona. Easy access to metro, buses and luggage storage. Definitely needed as we were on an early arrival and late departure. Balcony for evening drinks was a nice touch. Ate out a lot more than usual as unfortunately kitchen was a bit small for food preparation. The cooker didn't recognise the wok when we tried to use it. The small bath could benefit from a shower curtain or screen to be more useful. I'd also recommend replacing the mattress toppers and getting some additional crockery. Overall we've had an amazing time exploring Barcelona, the architecture, local cafés, bars and the grid system is really easy to follow, we've clocked up over 100km walking.

Hot, hot, hot

Check in worked well and we were met at the agreed time. Needed WhatsApp to communicate which I didn’t have. Fortunately my daughter-in-law had it. Apartment had four air conditioners, one for each room. The only one that really worked was the one we were told was the oldest in the twin bed room. Outside temperatures were in the 90s. One of bedroom’s remote batteries kept wanting to fall out. Not sure if that may have contributed to that air conditioner not working. The main bathroom seemed like heat was coming from somewhere. Without working air conditioners it might have been nice to have some fans as an option. We would continue to sweat after taking a shower and sleeping was miserable. I’ve heard it said that European air conditioning may not be what I’m used to but the fact that one worked very well tells me that isn’t necessarily true. The description says that parking is available but in reality it is off site public parking. Location is good with metro a couple blocks away.

J'ai fait une recherche abritel AVEC parking, heureusement que j'ai demandé confirmation puisqu'il n' y en a pas. Il faut prendre un parking privé en plus (50/60 les 3 jours).Une chambre n'a aucune fenêtre. Une chambre a une fenêtre qui donne sur un puit de maintenance et qui est, de toute façon, bloquée par un lit. Les claustrophobes devront éviter ce logement.Maria qui nous a accueilli a été très sympathique et efficace. L'appartement était propre, joliment décoré et climatisé. Quelques réparations sont à prévoir en fin de saison. la localisation est bonne, métro, superette et parking à proximité, quartier calme (bien pour les familles).
