We were advised of a "late" charge fee which was not present when first placing the booking on Expedia. However, after booking the charges were added to the listing description, however after contacting the company we were advise we should not pay this fee as it was added afterwards. The house is situated in a one way street. It extremely difficult to get to by car and there is absolutely no parking available anywhere near the house. All the parking spots are taken by about 6pm so if you arrive late then you wont have anywhere to park. You can enter the house from the front or back however both roads are one way streets and very narrow (again no parking). The back entrance is situated on a very steep hill so you cannot have your luggage on the footpath or it will end up at the bottom of the road.The house itself was clean however the washing machine broke after 2 uses and the ground floor shower door was broken upon arrival. Even though there are 2 bathrooms you can only use 1 shower at a time as the boiler is no strong enough to handle both at the same time (water temp changes constantly). The house no Air Conditioning and this was a major downfall as we had children and the fans provided weren't enough for everyone. If you are going to Barcelona, I would highly recommend getting a property with Air Conditioning (you will regret it). House has steep stairs both in the patio area as well as the main stairs inside. The freezer could not freeze ice, its likely to break soon.

Great location, near the beach, restaurants and Barcelona

We were very happy to stay in this house, Jordi and he’s parents were very helpful and the house was big and convenient. Close to walk to the beach and restaurants and it was very near the train station which was great. Would definitely stay again!

CASA GIRALT TRADITIONAL BEACH HOUSE EL MASNOU

It is said that there is only 3 aspects to property-location,location and location! If this is true then Casa Giralt must score highly as it within a stone's throw of the Metro Rail station and the beach.This does have its disadvantages as the noise in the front bedrooms could keep people awake. Our large family found the 5 bedrooms particularly suitable. Nobody , felt cramped for space . One could perhaps argue the advertising rather flattered the current true state of the decor and appliances. It also glosses over the steep steps to reach the front door- a rather important consideration for one of the more senior members of our party. Nevertheless, a thorouģhly good time was.enjoyed by all the family.

Nice house in the middle of the town.

Great stay with our family in El Masnou. The house was clean and well prepared for us. Comfortable beds and very good heating. Always warm water. The host, Carmen, checked on our comfort, just after we arrived. The taking and leaving of keys was easy. Only downsides are the parking of the car (count on 500m average walk) and limited kitchen ware (we bought a few things ourselve at the local Bazaar). In one of the 2 showers, one shower door was broken and a toilet brush was repaired with ducktape, causing it to break on first use. On general things are very sturdy, good internet and plenty of chairs, even for the cozy garden in the vack or in the front. Only 200m walk to the harbor with plenty of good restaurants, discotheke and entertainment. We hope to be back as the house is good value for money. Not perfect, but a good balance.

Unwind by the beach

Ability to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and once over your jet lag and visit to Alta Alella Vineyards, you are fully ready for all the Gaudi magic and excitement of the city of Barcelona. The train made it possible for us to connect for a day trip to Montserrat. This apt was old world magical. Open windows inside a secure fortress of old world simplicity. The mustard painted and tiled back terrace was enchanting, the upstairs terraces great to catch some rays! You can cook (nearby market place), or eat out at the lively, awesome marina. We just loved the beachside tapas restaurant. The WiFi worked great. Need to bring your own beach towels. We picked up from local store, but would have been nice to have them supplied. The owners met us to open the house and go over the details, helped us up the stairs with our luggage, so very nice!

Lovely spacious house

Hsd a lovely time at Jordi’s property. House is very spacious and secure. El Masnou is a nice quiet place. Lovely beach a 4 minute walk. Train station a 3 minute walk which takes you direct to Barcelona every 7 minutes (20 min journey) Couple of lovely restaurants on the seafront. Air con in the bedrooms would have made it perfect. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Nice old house in charming El Masnou

Had a very pleasant stay in this house. Easy access to beach (once you learn where to cross the rail road) and to the old center of town. Small streets behind house provide ample opportunities for practicing car parking skills :) Owner was very, very helpful and I can only recommend this house.

Cosy house, close to everything

This house was perfect for me and my seven friends vacation in Spain. Just 30min by train to Barcelona and 10min walking to the ocean and a wide selection of nice restaurants. One down side was that the house could have needed maybe one or two more fans, we swedes are not used to sleep in heat! Overall it was a very nice visit and we would love to come back!

wonderful experience what do it again anytime.

The property was great it's hard to find a negative. The house was properly ordered and close to restaurants and a train station we were able to go to La Costa Brava and to Barcelona easily. That house was in a secure and safe area. The owners were very helpful and courteous to us. Everything was great thank you guys very much.

Excellent townhouse next to the sea

We spend our family vacation here and enjoyed the roomy livingroom, the nice garden with BBQ and the well designed bedrooms. The location is great and gives easy access to restaurants, bars and the train station. Having a dishwasher and a washing machine gives a lot of comfort for larger families. Missing the dryer, but fortunately we had plenty of sun while we were in the house. Delivery of the key was prompt and easy at our convenience and the communication with Carmen and Jordi went very smooth. Hope to stay there again some day soon. Thanks for having us.

A characterful property close to the beach and only a short train ride into Barcelona

We enjoyed the week we spent here with our three children - the house has lots of character, there are views of the sea and there was plenty of space for the five of us. We loved being only a short walk from the realatively quiet, sandy beach and discovering the delicious paella restaurants nearby. We took the train into Barcelona from the station a couple of minutes walk from the house and were in the middle of Plaza de Catalunya in no time at all! Perfect!! The owner is very friendly and helpful and went out of his way to help us and make recommendations.

Beautiful and very quite place

Beautiful place in a very quite town really closer to the sea . Propietary are very good and if you have problem or if you want some advice they will help you ! Closer to Barcellona if you want to visit the town
