"We paid a budget price so were not expecting luxury, however there were lots of very basic issues with the house. The place was very musty on arrival and it seemed as if it hadn’t been opened up for a long time. The smell also pervaded the kitchen cupboards so I had to wash every item of crockery and cutlery before we could use it. Not that there was a lot of crockery - only side plates and tapas dishes. "Conveniently located next to L3 subway station (green line, Paral lel station) made it extremely easy to get around the city. Suggest you purchase a 2-, 3-, 4-day etc transit pass. Staff was extremely polite and helpful, especially with restaurant suggestions about Catalan dining. The only irritant was the noise level. Our room was located next to the ‘atrium’ opening. It’s an open space in the middle of hotel than runs from ground floor to top and covered. At first we thought it was loud pool activity but after visiting the 10th we realized it was something else. Complained to front desk who confirmed it was noise from another room. They took care of it but the noise continued in subsequent days. The atrium amplifies the noise and it echoes into the rooms surrounding the atrium."

"Arrived at the hotel around 11 am. Check in was quick and easy. Understanding we were coming from a long flight, the staff worked quickly to get us a room. While we were waiting, we were sat in the lobby, and, in the span of maybe 20-30 min, someone from the staff checked on us at least five times and brought us complementary coffee and water. The staff were exceptional throughout, with the exception of the front desk staff at check-out. Nonetheless, the experience was great overall. I would stay again."
