Mooi verblijf, wel gehorig omdat het een oud pand betreft. De rode barkrukken zijn niet de krukken die er momenteel staan, dat zijn ijzeren platte krukken. 1 van de bedden is heel zacht, hier rugklachten van gehad, andere matras is harder. Leuke ijssalon voor de deur, met heerlijk ijs. Om de hoek zitten diverse bakkertjes waar je 's morgens heerlijk voor een klein bedrag koffie met een broodje kan eten. Koffiezetapparaat niet echt aanwezig. Wel zo'n koffiestelletje voor de kookplaat.

Sterile Corporate Apartment

This is a stripped down corporate apartment. Even the VRBO picture does not reflect the place. There are few nice furnishings and some of the more comfortable looking furniture has been changed to something very cheap and basic. There are very few supplies like coffee and tea. For a four day stay, we had to buy shampoo, toilet paper and some paper towels from a local market. The corporate host furnished a single partial roll of toilet paper. We were surprised. We had to put our food in the refrigerator because of ants on the kitchen countertop. The combination washer/dryer malfunctioned during our stay. Our clothes got locked in. We had to download the operating manual from the internet to troubleshoot. The staff was not helpful and could not send their maintenance person to look. Fortunately I was eventually able to reset the machine by leaving it unplugged from electrical power for more than 24 hours. The location is convenience to the Poble Sec subway stop that takes you directly to the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia. There are many cafes and super markets nearby.
