「Wonderful stay here, much better than I could have anticipated. The staff are lovely and there's nothing they can't do for you. Worth noting, we travelled when the weather conditions turned horrific with the snow. This venue has a lot of travellers stranded and opened up their function room to help those stranded (all rooms were booked) - absolutely wonderful to see as they more than extended their hospitality and they should be commended for that. 」

「A stopover on our way to Scotland - 4 or 5 miles from the M6. A warm welcome in the bar (and the beers) after battling the traffic on the M6 was just what I needed! We shared the fish platter which was great and finished off with a tasty pud. A good night’s sleep and an excellent cooked breakfast completed our night’s stay. All the staff were most helpful and friendly and the pub has lots of character. We shall call in again when travelling north!」
