A lovely hotel, 5 mins drive from Bath centre. Walkable too in approx 15 mins, although we didn’t try it. Our room had a comfortable four poster bed, tea/coffee, plenty storage space and an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower. Although the hotel is quite old, It was very clean and furnished with objects from the era. Check in was simple, with a friendly, efficient gentleman. We loved it here and would definitely come again. Thank you so much.

The room was clean as was the bathroom. The room was a bit dated but it was pleasant enough. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on that.

Great hotel

The hotel is set inan amazing area. Walking distance to a shops. The hotel rooms were big and inviting. It was spotless and tidy. The bathroom showed some age but was perfectly functional. And as a cyclist you are very close to an old train track bed that is a shared cycle walking path with a tunnel that runs directly under the hotel. And into the main town centre.

The mattress needed replacement as had lost any firmness (room 9). Good hot shower and an undisturbed night. Good bus links to Bath City centre.

A small traditional hotel convenient for a short walk to Bath town centre. Although the facilities were dated it was very clean & in good working order. The beds were comfortable. Parking was free & very convenient. A good place to stay.

Very friendly and helpful service. Great communications. Free on site parking included with stay. Clean and comfortable bed, although bedding (pillow, duvet) old and a bit smelly. Nice ensuite room. Grubby carpets and door mirror.

Stayed here for a couple nights. The room was a bit rough around the edges, but nothing too bad. It was a good size room, plenty of space. It's in a quiet area that isn't a long walk into the city centre. It has free parking and a kettle in the room which I always appreciate. Alexandra park is nearby and worth a visit for the views. Overall we had no issues with this hotel 🙂

The property is a Georgian house, it is noticeably old but well-maintained and clean. It's location is perfect for public transport or walking into the city centre. It has good parking on the premises. We had a large room on the top floor with great views, quite a lot of steps so something to keep in mind for older or luggage-laden guests. This suited our needs perfectly but may not impress those who want a more "modern" or refurbished hotel.

Had an overnight stay here as the location was ideal, the rooms heating wouldn’t turn off and the shower head and bracket were broken, however I did have a good nights sleep, albeit with the window wide open! Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.

Charming place but stay disrupted by other guests

The hotel is quite charming in style. Large room. Bathroom was small but functional. Bed a little too soft for my liking. Parking on site, local pubs and shops nearby with a reasonable walk into the town centre. Manager was friendly and helpful. Nice freshly cooked breakfast. Noise travels in the hotel and unfortunately the stay was somewhat ruined by other guests one night who were coming in and out throughout the night, yelling at each other and banging doors so we got little sleep.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Whole property was run down and not at all like the website pictures. Barely adequate,eg masking tape over cracked tiles in the bathroom so toes aren't cut on the sharp edge.

The pictures are misleading. The rooms are shabby and worn. Dirty carpets and furnishings. The mattress was so old you could feel the springs and did not live up to the 4 poster appeal. Could hear through the walls too. Not very comfortable. Would not recommend
